Called to order at 11:35
Chair: Kathy let the meeting
Treasurer: Kathy announced that Ronnie stepped down from his position and she is acting as treasurer for the time being
Literature & Chips: Theresa was absent and no report sent.
Secretary: Micki was sick but sent a report to Kathy. Monica volunteered to write these meeting minutes.
Intergroup: Becky was absent and no report sent.
Coffee (Jeff K): Absent, no report. Jeff is not expected to attend meetings.
Webmaster (Lauren): Absent – no report
GSR: Monica did not have anything new to report about district.
Alt-GSR: Erin was absent and no report.
Cakes (Molly): Absent. Not expected to attend meetings.
Key Committee: Vacant – no report
Old Business
Melrose Guidelines were distributed by Kathy, reviewed and discussed by the group. Kathy and Monica will
finalize rought draft and then bring it to the next GC for vote.
Kathy brought up the topic of having a charge card for Melrose and will do some research on how other groups
have done this.
New Business
Monica proposed changes to Meeting Script which includes definition of crosstalk and adding a sentence about
safety.
“Please refrain from crosstalk during your share. Crosstalk is giving advice to others who have already shared,
speaking directly to another person rather than to the group and questioning or interrupting the person
speaking at the time.”
“Melrose does not condone harassment or threatening behavior. If anyone feels uncomfortable or unsafe,
please notify the chair or a trusted member in the room.”
Monica made a motion to include these items and it was voted in.
Motion made to adjourn, passes by majority.
